Amil & Nell

Aaaah! We’re Getting Married!

Join us in Devon as we celebrate our happily ever after.

A fairytale love story (with better food).

We’ll begin with a ceremony in the River Cottage garden, followed by drinks, great food, and a proper party in the barn.

When

Saturday, July 25, 2026

Ceremony: From 12 midday
Evening Celebration: From 6:15pm

Where to stay.

River Cottage is located in the middle of Axminster, Lyme Regis, and Colyton. Each area will require a 10 minute taxi to the venue. You will be able to find accomodations in all 3 areas, here are some options to get you started, as well as some points of interest where we like to go when we travel to Colyton. The wedding party will be staying in Colyton, if travelling by train, Axminster may be your preferred location, or if arriving by sea, Lyme Regis.

What to wear.

Dress Code

Channel your inner Hugh with leafy greens, tomato reds, beetroot purples, squash oranges and soft summer florals.

Smart-casual is perfect - think linen, relaxed tailoring, breezy dresses and comfortable shoes for wandering around the garden.

(We’re on a working farm, so expect grass, gravel, and uneven ground)

Logistics

Travel

River Cottage is tucked away in the beautiful Devon countryside just outside Axminster. If you’re driving, parking is available at the top of the hill, and friendly 4x4s will ferry guests down to the farm for the celebrations.

You’re also welcome to take the short walk (about 5–10 minutes), though the path can be uneven, so sensible shoes are recommended. If travelling by train, Axminster station is around a 10-minute taxi ride away. As the area is quite rural, we recommend booking taxis in advance where possible.
